At ACAMS The Assembly Japan, Daisuke spoke on a session titled “Global Insights, Local Impact: Japan’s Anti-Financial Crime Outlook,” where we discussed regulatory trends and practical impacts relating to AML, economic sanctions, and export controls

Speaking at an international conference on AI

Daisuke spoke at the International Bar Association Annual Conference in a session titled “The proliferation of AI in business: friend or foe? Navigating human rights compliance in the age of artificial intelligence”, alongside regulators and experts on AI and human rights.

Contribution to Expo 2025 Osaka
August 2025
Daisuke authored a paper entitled "Osaka Expo 2025 and the Future of Sustainability & Legal Practices" on the BHR Lawyers Database (https://www.bhrlawyers.org/expo2025 ) . He has been supporting the Expo's sustainability initiatives in an external expert capacity, including as a member of the Sustainable Procurement Working Group and the Human Rights Working Group, and as a Grievance Mechanism Adviser.

Daisuke participated as a speaker at a sanctions panel discussion co-hosted by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and the ACAMS Japan Chapter. In the panel, he provided an analysis of how Japanese companies and financial institutions are responding to sanctions against Russia.
